Our inaugural acquisition for JD Wetherspoon was successfully completed within 22 months, from feasibility assessment to opening. This project involved the transformation of a former gentlemen’s club, located adjacent to Euston train station, into a classic London pub.

During the redevelopment of Euston station, archaeologists uncovered the remains of Captain Matthew Flinders, the renowned navigator and cartographer. A statue of Flinders, depicted leaning over a map alongside his pet cat, Trim, now stands on the station’s main concourse. Inspired by this historical connection, our design subtly incorporates elements of Captain Flinders, including a bespoke carpet featuring a discreet cat motif.

The extensive refurbishment process included stripping the building back to its shell, executing an asbestos removal program, installing new pavement lights, and carrying out a comprehensive fit-out to create a warm, inviting, and characterful space.
