This particular site also incorporated a revenue-generating initiative, where an underutilised play barn adjacent to the restaurant was repurposed into additional dining space, including an integrated meeting room and bookable area. The renovation involved a comprehensive fit-out, transforming the space from a bare shell into a fully functional environment, complete with heating, lighting, electrical systems, lowered coffer ceilings, wall features, and all necessary furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E).
The rebranding strategy aimed to reposition the brand by enhancing its appeal and introducing a more premium offering, while still retaining its existing customer base. Originally known as Crown Carveries, the brand had faced challenges over the years due to a lack of recognition. The new design emphasises the brand ethos, "There is no place like Stonehouse," with DV Architects delivering a contemporary, inviting design intended to attract both new and returning customers.
