It’s still early on in 2018 but we’re seeing some trends really making their mark already.
Deep coloured fabrics and prints are being used alongside pastel accent colours bringing a stunning contrast to design concepts. Retro print themes are making a great appearance across the board from furniture to soft furnishings. As an example, we’re seeing a return of the pleated method on booth seating as opposed to button backs.
It means we’re working on bold, characteristic designs coupled with an antique finish, across the board from lighting, tiles, flooring and signage. This case study from a bar in Nottingham is a great example, we created a bespoke geometric pattern for the dancefloor where we used a vinyl tile in vivid blues against softer greys and taupes. The retro theme also plays out from shapes to leaf prints, which are coming back, alongside a polished, minimal interior.
This new trend is quite different, breaking out from the block colour fashions we’ve seen in recent years. We’re excited to see it continue to develop throughout 2018.
